The FGD process is being implemented across India in all NTPC power projects and government initiatives for Super Thermal Power Projects.
The wet FGD process in the absorber (vertical counter-flow spray tower) is carefully selected based on comprehensive analyses and studies to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
The FGD System Comprises Four Main Components:
- Absorber - Vertical counter-flow spray tower system
- Limestone Handling & Milling - For efficient reagent preparation
- Gypsum Dewatering & Storage - For byproduct management
- FGD Waste Water Treatment - Including connecting flue gas ducts, booster fan, and a wet stack located at the top of the absorber
